Ervin Jacomet

Mountain guide IFMGA / Paragliding instructor & skiteacher

How my hobbies have become my profession?

My love and passion for the mountains began early on on extended hikes with my family in the Swiss mountains. When I was 16, I had the opportunity to go climbing, mountaineering and ski touring with friends and to collect my experiences in the mountains. The shared adventures and the positive vibes then gave me the incentive to make outdoor sports my profession. I am now very happy to accompany my guests in mountaineering, freeriding or paragliding and to let them benefit from my experience.

In addition to my activity as a mountain guide in the Alps, I have had numerous mountaineering trips in South America in recent years: Aconcagua / Ojos de Salado / Pissis / Chimborazo / Cotopaxi etc. , Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and expeditions in the Himalayas and Karakorum such as: Muztagh Ata, Shisha Pangma, Cho Oyu, Putha Hiunchuli, Pizzet Encarden, Kaligandaki-Ri, Bhrikuti Shail, Sano Bhrikuti and Chhuama peak.

The next trip in November takes us to Nepal in the Mustang and from there we try to cross two 6000m peaks with ski on Sano Bhrikuti and Bhrikuti main peak at the border of Nepal and Tibet in the Damodar mountains.

... why the profession is still a hobby? . . . you'll find out more when you travel with me!
